Indian 4

Not really a big fan of fours...
but...
but the crazy guy that built the v8 henderson, thats neat...
must find pic...

Interesting aviation history from Hawaii

I had a post up with a pic or two of a P-82, the twin Mustang.
here are pix of "Betty Jo"
The Betty Jo took off from Hickam Field on the island of Oahu, on February 27, 1947 and flew some 5,000 miles to Laguardia in New York City non-stop and with no air-to-air fueling in 14 hours and 33 minutes.

Here it is in it's hanger at Hickam field

right now it's sitting in The National Museum of the United States Air Force, in Dayton, Ohio.
one of 5 P-82's still in existance.

Bad Egg

The Red Gladiator

Hot Dock, Keiji Kawakita's shop in Japan builds some insane shit.
This is the Red Gladiator, it's a bit over the top as far as my tastes go, but damn there is so much killer work in this bike is scary.
That and th fact that he started it for me at his shop, HOLY CRAP, this fucker sounds like a hot rod big twin that revs like an XR flattracker, fuckin sweet!!!!

He is also in the S&S 50th build off, can't wait to see what he's building!

Hot Rods are good.

6 cylinders are more than enough!

For a light little hot rod...

L&L Choppers Knuck

thanx to Case for the killer pix of his Knuck!

This is the stuff dreams are made of...

Randy Smith, my hero of casting chopper parts, the pioneer of cast chopper parts.

Here's the first set of finned dishpans of Randy's, with the risers still attached.
The receipt says from March 1968.

Too Cool! 40 years ago!

MANY THANKS to Lisha Smith for keeping these parts for us to enjoy.

The Gee Bee....
